Circleville Pumpkin Show
We went to the pumpkin show on October 22 we had decided to take the backroads and too check out all of the beautiful fall foliage. We did take the back roads and it was a nice drive but we did not get to see much fall foliage because we did not count on the wind storm that had blown through the weekend before taking all of the leaves away. Oh well Gnome happens!!!
I need to tell you the drive from home was only 2 hours. During this 2 hours drive we had to make 3 pee stops for the almost thirty something and the thirty something drivers that were traveling in the car behind us. OMG the closer we got to this town the more insane we decided these people were. People were just pulling of the road and parking everywhere on the sides of the road. We chose to take a chance and go on in to town and pay to park since we were traveling with Brenda the gimp who had dropped a laptop on her toe the weekend before and broke her toe.
Below is a picture of the traveler behind us with the wee little bladders.
Here is our group that went to the Pumpkin Show
Brenda, Preston, Jonne, Audrey, Norma, Angie, Jessica
This town is totally obsessed with the whole pumpkin show thing. This is their sewer cover on the street.
Little miss independant leading mamaw
This festival was huge just ask queenie's feet. It just kept going and going and going. Everytime you would think you were at the end of a section it would go down another street. This festival probably covered 12 blocks of town.
This was the center of town it was really cool. The pumpkin tower is enormous and all of the pumpkins and gourds are for sale. This area was packed there were so many people it was insane.
The Largest Pumpkin Pie we had ever seen. It was about 8 ft. in diameter.
This is were we purchased the infamous pumpkin burger.
This is us eating a pumpkin burger!
This is us not so sure we like pumpkin burger
Still debating. We think it's OK probably will not try again.
There were many options of pumpkin foods. Pumpkin pie, Pumpkin Joe, Pumpkin Taco, Pumpkin Donuts and Pumpkin Ice Cream. We decided after the pumpking burger we were not going to be adventurous with anymore food.
Preston went with old Faithful the Elephant Ear.
Audrey also stuck with the standards can't go wrong with cotton candy.
Brenda was just Thirsty after all that walking.
Good times and Good Memories were made by all today. The festival was interesting to say the least it was 80 percent food booths, 10 percent hat booths, 5 percent pumpkins and gourds and 5 percent shops. It was not the giant craft show we thought it would be but no matter what we had fun as we always do no matter what we are doing.
